The Encampment Store: Bring a Little Piece of Valley Forge Park Home With You
March 15, 2016 | klein
The Encampment Store at Valley Forge National Park provides souvenirs, memorabilia, and educational materials related to the primary campsite during the 1777-1778 winter during the Revolutionary War. A portion of the proceeds from every purchase goes toward maintenance of Valley Forge National Park.
In addition to providing products and memorabilia to support the park, Encampment Store staff provide activities and events that complement the park’s efforts. Guests can choose from trolley, bicycle, and audio tours of the park. Guides can also accompany groups for a private tour of the park. Tour sites includes soldier huts and the original home that served as former President Washington’s headquarters.
The Encampment Store is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From June to August, the store stays open an extra hour until 6 p.m. Throughout the year, the park offers events like November Movie Night in the Park.
